Self Employed Associate CYP Counsellors


​We are currently looking for self-employed professional counsellors interested in making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people (CYP). While prior experience in this field is beneficial, we are fully prepared to train, support, and mentor you to develop the essential skills and confidence as a CYP therapist. 

 

With its unique benefits, the role requires a commitment of 16-20 hours per week, offering flexible working hours to suit your needs.

 

Based in Hull, we are the fastest-growing centre for talking therapies for children and young people in the East Riding and Humberside region. Our CYP Department is known for its professionalism, support, and training focus, providing a spacious and pleasant workplace where your contributions are valued, and your development is well- supported. 

 

Owing to unprecedented demand, we are expanding our CYP department and are eager to recruit CYP counsellors to join our team. The positions involve seeing up to fifteen clients per week in the age categories of under 11 and 12 to 17.

 

You will be supported by an experienced and dedicated team, including a highly skilled Team Leader, seasoned child counsellors, and committed volunteers. You will be working for an organisation that is fully committed to growing the service it provides. Comprehensive in-house training and ongoing mentoring and support will be provided to ensure you feel confident and competent in your role.

Are you a qualified counsellor or psychotherapist wishing to develop your skills working with children and young people (CYP)

 

Based in Hull, we are the fastest-growing centre for talking therapies for children and young people in the East Riding and Humberside region.

Our CYP Department is professional, supportive, and training-focused. Our team work in a pleasant, spacious workplace where your contribution is valued, and your development supported.

 

We already have a team of exceptional child counsellors and volunteer CYP counsellors. We accept referrals from organisations such as CAMHS, Blue Door and Victim Support.

 

Unprecedented demand means we are expanding our CYP department by recruiting more volunteers to join our team.

 

Working from our suite of counselling rooms in Central Hull, we are looking for volunteers to see four to six clients a week in the age categories of under 12 and 13 to 17.

 

Your Team Leader is a very experienced child therapist, CYP supervisor, trainer, and safeguarding lead. She is supported by experienced child counsellors and skilled volunteers.

 

Rest assured, you will receive comprehensive in-house training tailored to your needs and the highest level of skills practice to support your work. Additionally, you will benefit from ongoing mentoring and support, ensuring you feel confident and prepared in your role.
